My name is Bob Little. I am retired having served 30 years in the Cumbria Police Service. and following my retirement in 1992, I have resided at Powfoot near Annan, Dumfriesshire, Scotland. My wife Jan and I thoroughly enjoy visiting the local areas of South West Scotland and North West England, enjoying the beautiful scenery and countryside these areas have to offer.
I have been engrossed in photography for many years although at the present time photography is neither a career nor a job, it is a passion and a way of life.
I also enjoy gardening and the natural world around me, both of which are a source of inspiration. These are two of my favourite activities and photographing these allow me to share my view of nature with the rest of you.
From my prespective I find wildlife photography so rewarding as there is no better experience than working hard to get close to an animal in its natural environment and being rewarded with a few precious moments in its company. A great picture is a bonus not a necessity.
One thing that inspires me with digital photography is its instantaneous nature. You can take a photo, download it onto the computer and send the photo as an attachment in a very short period of time. This is why digital photography is so popular all around the world.
